Roots was invited to submit an entry into the ‘Vox Populi Kiosk’ design competition. Run by Skirmishes, a new design focused charity; the aim was to create a space where the public’s criticism and delight of their built environment could be recorded. Read more
Roots has been nominated for the Shell LiveWIRE Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2010. After winning the Scottish vote Roots will now join 7 other regional winners in the grand final. The two day judging and public-relations event in London culminates in the awarding of £10k grant.
Roots has made the ‘Top 40’ shortlist for the Shell LiveWIRE Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2010. Roots is now placed against 7 other successful new businesses in Scotland. Each has shown considerable entrepreneurial talent in their first year of business. Read more
The Strathclyde Entrepreneurial Network has invited Roots to present at its up-and-coming S100 event on 30th September. The event will see some of the best business minds in the country gathered together. It provides Roots with a great opportunity to showcase our business on a national scale.
Roots has been given the opportunity to present at the ‘Building Resilience in Rural Communities’ conference in Shetland. Titled ‘Island Stories’ we will be talking about our first year in practice and the challenges of delivering a design service to remote and isolated communities. Read more
Roots has won the Shell LiveWIRE Grand Ideas award for August 2010. The £1,000 grant prize is awarded each month to the business with the most forward thinking entrepreneurial idea. Read more
