Baptist Church WorkshopRoots are pleased to announce that they have held a successful intensive Design and Energy Workshop with the Baptist Church on Tiree.

The weekend long event looked at how the existing Church building at Baugh could be developed so that it meets the modern day needs of the congregation.  The workshop provided an open forum to encourage input on all design aspects of the project.

This involved Roots setting up their studio in the Church on Saturday afternoon and trying to tease out what the priorities of the project were; all over tea, cake and models!

Chris and Micheal then compiled the results of this workshop and worked through Saturday evening to produce a number of design options.

These were then presented to the Congregation on Sunday morning and followed by an open questions and answers session.  Roots also produced a summary brochure of the workshop and distributed to the Congregation.  The Church will now consider how best to progress the project.

The feedback from the Congregation about the workshop and the work undertaken was overwhelmingly positive.  The weekend was a great challenge and Roots thoroughly enjoyed helping an important community organisation.

Roots would like to thank all those who attended for their positive attitude and the generous welcome.  Further images from the workshop can be viewed at http://www.flickr.com/photos/rootsdesignworkshop/sets/72157626003550420/

If you are part of a community organisation and would like to speak to Roots about organising a Workshop for any Design or Energy project you might have, then please get in touch. We would love to hear from you.
