'To Dwell' ModelsRoots director Micheal was invited to be a guest panel-member at the recent Year One Studio Review at the Strathclyde University Architecture Department.

The project was entitled ‘To Dwell – A Townhouse’, and required the students to design three options for a home/studio from the outside.  This year the students have been asked to consider a real programme and use a real artist as an imaginary Client.  The site is in North Berwick and the students have been restricted to using brick as the primary construction material.

Micheal really enjoyed the experience and was impressed with the diversity of ideas on display in the student work.  He was particularly impressed by the in-depth knowledge of the technical and aesthetic qualities of brick.
