Roots attending self-build timber-frame course

Roots are to attend a course learning hands-on skills for how to build revolutionary timber-frame houses. The course, at the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT), is running at the end of October and aims to teach participants about the Walter Segal method.  Read more

Roots tour Isles of Mull and Iona

Roots Design Workshop will be visiting the Isles of Mull and Iona this Friday. It marks the latest tour for the practice’s Archivan. The Team have arranged to meet a number of community and private parties and will be offering free advice as part of a design and project consultation. Read more


Roots at MAKlab

Roots are delighted to help promote the creation of MAKlab; an open access workshop and studio in Glasgow. Over 16/17th Septmeber there will be a open doors event at the Lighthouse in Glasgow’s city centre. Here the proposed equipment will be showcased and there will be an opportunity for people to talk about how MAKlab will work.  Read more
