Roots finished as runners-up in the Rising Star category of the 2011 SEN Enterprise Awards.

The event, which was hosted by BBC broadcast journalist Sally Magnusson, celebrated entrepreneurs from Strathclyde at all stages in their career.  This included a keynote speech by businessman Gordon McAlpine who recently appeared on Chanel 4’s ‘The Secret Millionaire’ in Glasgow.

Roots Director Micheal, who attended the ceremony on behalf of the practice commented,  ‘This was a really prestigious event where incredibly talented people – from Sir Tom Hunter to John Logie Baird – were being recognised.  It was an honour to be nominated, even if we didn’t win our category.  We’d like to congratulate all the winners, particularly mLED who pipped us to the prize.  A room full of successful entrepreneurs can be a very inspiring thing and we remain enthused to improve our practice.’

Micheal + Chris would like to thank SEN for organising the event and for continuing to support Roots.
