Habost Barn

  • Private Commission
  • Isle of Lewis
  • June 2013

Roots Design Workshop collaborated with a local designer to deliver the necessary consents for the renovation of a barn into a home office on Lewis. This involved delivering detailed technical drawings to show how a series of natural insulation products would work with the original stone construction.

The extension is deliberately expressed as a contemporary design; with coloured profiled sheets and wide slot windows on the outside and a light, airy space inside.

Construction is currently underway.
